We take data protection seriously

The protection of your privacy when processing personal data is an important concern for us. When you visit our website, our web servers save the IP of your Internet service provider, the website from which you visit us, the web pages you visit on our site and the date and duration of the visit as standard. This information is absolutely necessary for the technical transmission of the web pages and secure server operation. A personalized evaluation of this data does not take place.

If you send us data via contact form, this data will be stored on our servers in the course of data backup. Your data will only be used by us to process your request. Your data will be treated strictly confidential. Your data will not be passed on to third parties.

Personal data

Personal data is data about your person. This includes your name, address and email address. You also do not have to disclose any personal data in order to visit our website. In some cases, we need your name and address as well as other information in order to provide you with the requested service.

The same applies in the event that we provide you with information material upon request or when we answer your inquiries. In these cases, we will always point this out to you. In addition, we only store the data that you have transmitted to us automatically or voluntarily.

When you use one of our services, we generally collect only the information that is necessary to provide you with our service. We may ask you for additional information, but this is voluntary. Whenever we process personal data, we do so in order to provide you with our service or to pursue our commercial objectives.

Automatically stored data

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

- Date and time of the request
- name of the requested file
- page from which the file was requested
- access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
- web browser and operating system used
- full IP address of the requesting computer
- amount of data transferred

This data is not merged with other data sources. The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.
For reasons of technical security, in particular to defend against attempted attacks on our web server, this data is stored by us for a short time. It is not possible for us to draw conclusions about individual persons on the basis of this data. After seven days at the latest, the data is anonymized by shortening the IP address at domain level, so that it is no longer possible to establish a link to the individual user. In addition, the data is processed in anonymized form for statistical purposes. A comparison with other data or a transfer to third parties, even in excerpts, does not take place. Only in the context of our server statistics, which we publish every two years in our activity report, is a presentation of the number of page views made.

Cookies

When you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are transferred from an Internet server to your browser and stored on its hard drive. Only the Internet protocol address is stored here - no personal data. This information, which is stored in the cookies, allows us to automatically recognize you the next time you visit our website, making it easier for you to use. The legal basis for the use of cookies is the legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Of course, you can also visit our Internet pages without accepting cookies. If you do not want your computer to be recognized on your next visit, you can also refuse the use of cookies by changing the settings in your browser to "refuse cookies". The corresponding procedure can be found in the operating instructions of your respective browser. If you reject the use of cookies, however, there may be restrictions in the use of some areas of our Internet pages.

Google Analytics with anonymization function

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter "Google", on our website. Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site.
The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, location and frequency of your visit to the website, including your IP address, will be transmitted to and stored by Google in the United States.

We use Google Analytics on our website with the addition of "_gat._anonymizeIp".
In this case, your IP address will already be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area and thus anonymized.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity for us and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.

Google will, according to its own information, in no case associate your IP address with other data from Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of our website to their full extent.

Furthermore, Google offers a deactivation add-on for the most common browsers, which gives you more control over what data is collected by Google about the websites you visit. The add-on tells the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that no information about the website visit should be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, the Google Analytics browser deactivation add-on does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services we may use. For more information on installing the browser add-on, please click on the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
If you visit our site via a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), you must click this link instead to prevent tracking by Google Analytics within this website in the future. This is also possible as an alternative to the above browser add-on. Clicking the link will set an opt-out cookie in your browser that is only valid for this browser and domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted, so you will have to click the link again.

If you have consented to your web and app browsing history being linked to your Google account by Google and to information from your Google account being used to personalize ads, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create targeting lists for cross-device remarketing. To do this, Google Analytics first collects your Google-authenticated ID on our website, which is linked to your Google account (i.e., personal data). Google Analytics then temporarily links your ID with your Google Analytics data to optimize our target groups.

If you do not agree to this, you can turn this off by making the appropriate settings in the "My Account" section of your Google Account.

AdRoll Roundtrip Retargeting

We use the retargeting technology AdRoll Roundtrip of AdRoll, Inc. (2300 Harrison St, Fl 2, San Francisco CA, 94110, USA), hereinafter referred to as "AdRoll". AdRoll makes it possible to target those Internet users with advertising who have already shown an interest in our products.
In retargeting, the advertising material is displayed on the basis of a cookie-based analysis of previous user behavior. In particular, the AdRoll cookie collects the following information: Activities on our website (e.g., which website the user accessed and when), device and browser information (e.g., IP address, cookie string data and - in the case of mobile devices - the device type and the unique device identifier of the mobile device used (e.g., Apple IDFA or Android Advertising ID), ad data (e.g., how often AdRoll served an ad). how often AdRoll has placed an ad, on which website the ad appeared and whether the user clicked on the ad or otherwise interacted with it) as well as, if applicable, a pseudonymous advertiser ID.
Further privacy information and opt-out options can be found in AdRoll's privacy policy: https: //www.adrollgroup.com/de-DE/privacy.
You can opt out of the analysis of your surfing behavior by following the link below: https://app.adroll.com/optout/safari.

Security

We have implemented technical and administrative security measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access.
All our employees and service providers working for us are bound by the applicable data protection laws.
Whenever we collect and process personal data, it is encrypted before it is transmitted. This means that your data cannot be misused by third parties. Our security measures are subject to a continuous improvement process and our data protection statements are constantly being revised. Please make sure that you have the latest version.

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your personal data (in short "data") exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions. With this data protection declaration we want to inform you about the processing of your data in our company and the data protection claims and rights to which you are entitled comprehensively in the sense of Art. 13 of the European Data Protection Regulation (EU DS-GVO).

Data subject rights

You have a right to information, correction, deletion or restriction of the processing of your stored data at any time, a right to object to the processing as well as a right to data portability and to lodge a complaint in accordance with the requirements of data protection law.

Right to information:
You can request information from us as to whether and to what extent we are processing your data.
Right to correction:
If we are processing your data that is incomplete or incorrect, you can request that we correct or complete it at any time.
Right to deletion:
You can request that we delete your data if we are processing it unlawfully or if the processing disproportionately affects your legitimate interests in protection. Please note that there may be reasons that preclude immediate deletion, e.g. in the case of legally regulated retention obligations.
Irrespective of the exercise of your right to deletion, we will delete your data immediately and completely, provided that there is no legal or statutory retention obligation in this respect.
Right to restriction of processing:
You may request us to restrict the processing of your data if
- you contest the accuracy of the data for a period of time that enables us to verify the accuracy of the data.
- the processing of the data is unlawful, but you object to erasure and request restriction of data use instead,
- we no longer need the data for the intended purpose, but you still need this data to assert or defend legal claims, or
- you have objected to the processing of the data.
Right to data portability:
You may request that we provide you with the data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and that you may transfer this data to another controller without hindrance from us, provided that
- we process this data on the basis of a consent given by you that can be revoked or for the performance of a contract between us, and
- this processing is carried out with the aid of automated processes.
If technically feasible, you may request us to transfer your data directly to another controller.

Right of objection:
If we process your data for legitimate interest, you may object to this data processing at any time; this would also apply to profiling based on these provisions. We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims. You may object to the processing of your data for the purpose of direct marketing at any time without giving reasons.

Right of complaint:
If you are of the opinion that we are violating German or European data protection law in processing your data, please contact us so that we can clarify any questions. Of course, you also have the right to contact the supervisory authority responsible for you, the respective state office for data protection supervision.
If you wish to assert any of the aforementioned rights against us, please contact our data protection officer. In case of doubt, we may request additional information to confirm your identity.
